Do you want to go to the gym or get a trainer?

By admin

It is no secret that America is facing obesity problems. Everywhere you go people are showing the tell tale signs of not getting enough exercise. Of course, we live in a busy world. Who has time to go to the gym? Who has the money to hire a personal trainer? Well, the answer had better be you because your health and possibly your life is on the line. Of course, it does make a difference whether or not you use a trainer or a gym. Each side has its own pros and cons. It comes down to a matter of personal choice.

If you want to consider the gym, let’s look at what it would be like. The gym is for strong willed people. Nothing and no one motivates you except yourself. If you need to be told what to do, this option may not be for you. On the other hand, a gym would supply you with large amounts of specialized equipment to work on. A gym is also much cheaper than a personal trainer. The difference in monthly fees are probably hundreds of dollars.

A personal trainer is another story. He or she will not care if you don’t feel like exercising that day. They will make you exercise. This is a prime option for people who have trouble motivating themselves to do something. A trainer’s exercises will be simple, there won’t be a whole lot of gray areas. You either do it or you don’t. Sometimes a trainer will keep track of the amount of exercise you do and the time spent doing it. You may not have to keep your own fitness records if you are lucky. However, this is not for people short on cash. Trainers are expensive. They can cost hundreds and sometimes thousands of dollars a month. But can you afford not to be fit?

No matter which option you choose, you need to do something to get in shape or keep it if you are already fit. Gyms and trainers can be great options when you find your jeans are getting a little too tight for comfort.
