Class Descriptions:

Orientation: This seminar will give you everything you need to help transform your body and never have to go on another diet again. Learn how to make wise(r) choices, how to read food labels, how cardio exercise can make you fatter, and how to train your body to do precisely what you want it to do. This is the last fitness program you will ever need. (Offered only the first Saturday of every month; open to 4 - 8 students at Columbus State Community College. Call for details.)

SPINNING: An excellent, low-impact, stationary bike exercise designed for you to ride at your own pace and level of intensity by adjusting the bike's resistance. SPINNING is geared towards invigorating your mind, body, and spirit to help you achieve your personal best. Depending upon your level of effort, it is possible to burn up to 800 calories per workout. (40 min - 1 hour) Classes are offered at The Arena District Athletic Club which are located in downtown Columbus. Call for details.

Bootcamp: A 30 minute condensed version of full body freeweight training combined with 30 minutes of a SPINNING class. This is one-stop shopping, the combined cardio with the weights, everything you've been looking for. Get in and get out with this workout that gets right to the point! So much goes into lifting a single dumbell it's incredible. With all of the movements performed using dumbells you allow each muscle to work independently stimulating the most increased number of muscle fibers and motor neurons, which, to you translates to lean, sculpted, sleek development. Proper form is intensely encouraged to give you the results you seek and ample opportunity for you to reach your best genetic potential. This class brings focus on large muscle groups intended to improve overall strength and activities of daily living. Core strength is included in each class based on an assortment of challenging movements. Add this class to your workout regimen 2/week and watch your metabolic furnace burn brightly! Ashtanga(Power)Yoga: A calming and relaxing, athletic, vigorous workout that relaxes the mind while it tones, lengthens and strengthens the muscles, making the body flexible and supple. Depending on your level of effort this workout reduces stress and releases toxins from the body. (Approximately 1-1/2 hours). (Offered at Columbus State Community College only. Call for details.)
